Biography:

My name is Tony Avina, and I color comic books. I’m the regular colorist on The Boys, but I color various other projects for Marvel and DC.

I’ve been a huge t-shirt fanatic since the mid to late 80′s, when T&C Surf Designs ruled the world! I’ve been designing shirts one way or the other since then, whether that meant airbrushing, screen printing, or just drawing on them with markers.

Biography:

I was born in Banff and then lived in Calgary for my formative years, whereupon my English parents whisked me off to the south of England to live in a centuries old pub with thatched roof in a small village.  I went to school, grew up (some would argue that), and attended university over in the UK where I studied Information Design: Illustration.

I got into comics pretty early on and it seems I’ve been a Star Wars fanatic all my life. I don’t remember but apparently my folks took me to Star Wars A New Hope when I was 3 in ’77.
So I’ve been pretty hardwired to be a geek from the start.

However I never really had a creative outlet in terms of employment. You know how life gets in the way, you get a partner, a house and have to pay the bills so you move upwards in the job you’re in, rather than keep striving for the dream jobs.
But it’s a happy ending because I’ve worked my way back to more creative pursuits in my job now, where I do a fair bit of design and Flash work at a Museum/Art Gallery in western Canada which is filled with great culture and creative people.

And even with a daughter under two; whom I adore, I manage to find time to try and get a t-shirt empire going. I don’t think my results are bad for having basically started in T-shirts as of November ’11.

The Art Of Christopher Lovell Website

Christopher Lovell. Artist. Musician. Tutor. Currently residing in Wiltshire, the Welsh artist is carving a strong identity in the art and design world with his lavishly detailed and imaginative work. His clients range from multi-platinum recording artists like Kid Rock to global clothing companies such as Iron Fist. Christopher Lovell’s ever-expanding portfolio showcases a diverse subject matter and demonstrates a passion and level of enthusiasm that speaks for itself.Christopher Lovell

Christopher Lovell counts himself lucky to have been a child of the 80s. The toys, cartoons and movies of the era left him spellbound, fueling his imagination. He finds this inspiration allows him to express himself very naturally through his art. Having developed a deep interest in fantasy and sci-fi, Christopher Lovell spent his childhood and teen years immersed in every aspect of creativity he could access. As art came very easy to him, Christopher Lovell is completely self-taught and is able to effortlessly adapt to any medium presented to him. Very early on he soon noticed his art could captivate and inspire those who viewed it.

Throughout his school years Christopher Lovell’s passion for Anime, comics and graphic novels led him to writing and illustrating his own stories.

“I inked and painted 96 pages of a story and I had roughly sketched out a further 400 or so pages. During the first 96 pages you can see a huge progression in my skills as an artist.” Unfortunately the work was never to be completed as Christopher turned his attention towards painting on canvass.

Christopher Lovell also enjoys expressing his creativity through music. He is a skilled and versatile guitarist, and approaches song-writing with equal enthusiasm as his art. Although his art and illustration work has to remain his primary focus, Christopher Lovell remains a respected member of the local alternative music scene.

Having once been told at art college that he would “never make it as an illustrator” Christopher relishes in the satisfaction that each new piece of work continues to impress, inspire and amaze his growing client and fan base.

Biography:

I am currently an amateur photographer, though I would like to break through that invisible barrier into professional photography. I greatly enjoy travel and nature, and over time I’m sure my portfolio will reflect that. I also have a kind of dark/humorous side, as reflected by my t-shirt prints thus far, hehe. I am now a student at CSU Fullerton where I am completing a major in English and also continuing a major in Photography.

If you enjoy any of my pieces, please show your support and give me feedback (or constructive criticism is appreciated as well if you find something you don’t like). I also make an effort to reply and give feedback as well.

If you really enjoy a piece and wish to purchase it, know that I intend to use any amount that I earn on redbubble to further my photography gear (right now I’m saving up for a macro lens).

Thank you very much, and I look forward to being part of this community! :D

Those who’d like to help me out a ton, please vote me up on my Qwertee submissions.

Scarecrowoven Website's Portfolio

In ancient times, on top of Eye mountain deep within the cave of lost souls, a strange creature was delivered from outer space. There he gestated for 12 million seven hundred thousand years until he was strong enough to venture out of his earthen home. The first being to meet him was the Great Red Wolf who named him Scarecrowoven and presented him with three gifts. The first, a leaf from the tree of Narmer plucked by the king himself and passed on from generation to generation. The second gift was the missing black soul spear of Genghis Khan. The last gift was the location of a small boy who was the reincarnation of a fabled Inuit tribe leader who once made the decision to leap off a cliff in order to save his family. With these gifts in hand he set out to find the boy and restore peace to the galaxy.

Joshua M. Smith (Hydro74)

Biography:

Hydro74's Website

The Purveyor of Sin.

What does it mean? Well, the basics are simple.  Purveyor means in the simplest form, ‘provider’ and the sin is the hours I work to define my skills and offer them to those willing to pay for it. It is the best representation of my personal vision for Hydro74.

Hydro74 | MCMLXXIV

Hydro74 is a Orlando based designer, otherwise known as Joshua M. Smith. The soul purpose of my career is to push the boundries in doing what I feel is relevant to the market as well as extract various elements and trends to be able to offer them up in my own personal work. But let’s be honest. I do what I love because I love it. Not because I have to do it, nor am forced to do it, but rather passionate about doing what I do. I firmly believe in having set style tones, yet a sense of diversity to make any various project unique to the demands that are set forth.

Type Treaments & Branding

Typography is far more than just a simple addition to a product or brand, it is what sets the tone for the entire piece. Each letter has a way of reacting and uniting to form meaningful, powerful words that embrace a sense of emotion or power. With that knowledge, producing pieces that best represent the needs is what Hydro74 prides itself on to help other brands find their identity and voice, philosophically and aesthetically.

Apparel Development

Apparel is a amazing medium that is widely embraced by masses to best symbolize one’s individuality while conforming to various cliques. This is something I fully understand and appreciate. Even to the point that a close friend & I put on a T-Shirt Gallery Show that grows in attendence and online with each new version that is produced. Apparel is everything that is meaningful in design because it is a common bond everyone shares and voices our most inner feelings without having to openly state it each and every time we speak. It is the true cog in the wheel of conformity that allows us the illusion of individuality and our own personal choice to be unique in this very common world.

Illustration

Complexity and a fluid organic approach is what is highly valued in each and every piece. A Illustration to me is something that tells a story with out words needed. It builds a bond with the viewer who will either get it, or find it horrible, yet, the interaction is what is desired when doing a piece. Some Illustrations are trend based iconic structures meant to embrace the masses to encourage sales, while others are explorations turned to symbolic ideas on paper or fabric. Illustration is something I find deep meaning in.

Man-made, organic entity. Harmless. Mostly. Oh, and tired. I have this brain that likes to play tricks on me. It’s usually full of nothing – creatively dormant – when I’ve got the time to do stuff, but as soon as I get to the office, or decide to get some sleep, it suddenly starts mashing popular cultural references together and nags at me until I relent and just do it. Usually clothed, draws, paints, rants and sulks. Typical Piscean, if you believe that kinda thing.
