The Smoking Monkey T-Shirt design by Jobe features a devious, but cute looking little monkey doing a dirty deed. Um, well, he’s smoking anyways.

It has been a while. These poor guys have been neglected and it is a very shameful act that has been done! All apologies go out to the monkeys, because they are just too freakin’ FUNNY!!! Yes, funny also cute and apparently they seem to have a problem with nicotine addiction, at least according to a number of T-Shirt designers out there. It makes one wonder when there will be designs with monkeys wearing a nicotine patch looking frustrated and angered, but hey, maybe that’ll come with time .

Nevertheless, monkeys doing anything that closely relates them to humans make for humorous designs, perhaps add a cup of coffee and a doughnut and it can be call ‘Patrolling Monkey’? Create one with some gold chains, a pair of Chucks and a backwards baseball cap oh, lets not forget the certain brand of menthol cigarettes and there you would have ‘Douche Monkey’! Anyway, the point is that monkeys are funny all on their own and monkeys behaving like humans are even funnier, so this design almost hits the hilarious mark.

To the design! Well, the outlines are just a bit too bold and the work is a little sloppy around the face with some lines that should have been cleaned up a little. It is not clear what is going on at the bottom around the neck, but it looks as if the poor guy has a bone sticking out. The hair however is very funny, because it is parted in the middle and standing up in the back, as if he is trying to be clean cut, but really just doesn’t give a damn. The cigarette is done very well also, but again, the outline takes away from the details. Overall the art is pretty good, it is just that the boldness of the outlines takes away from the details of the actual design and the sloppy work around the face, under the nose area is not so great. It is however a funny tee.
