The Illustrator T-Shirt By KidOF features just a few tools from Adobe Illustrator and perhaps the true meaning behind their use.
Okay as anyone that has ever dealt with Illustrator knows, It is a serious pain in the ass, at least for some people. It was nice to see a light take on what some of the tools could actually mean.
First though, just to set the mood, this song came to mind when this tee was spotted, so here it is…
To the design! The Magic Wand being used for a wizard is rather obvious, as is the Lasso tool for a cowboy. The Pen for a writer and the Paint Brush for a painter, again obvious yet cute too. The Symbol Sprayer for a vandal, that is understandable and the Graph for a trader, Got it! The Eyedropper for a doctor, hell, that makes more sense than the actual use for the eyedropper. Understandably you can suction something like say a color (if it were liquid) with an eyedropper, but there could have been a better tool represented to copy a color couldn’t there? Anyway, here is where it gets a bit twisted, yet funny. The Knife, a killer?! Okay, Why not a butcher? Who wants to be a killer? See? Twisted, but it will make people wonder and that is always a good thing. Now! The other twisted ‘I Wish I Was’ icon, the Warp tool! It was hard to decide to mark this as teen appropriate or not because of that one little icon, it is however, just an icon that means nothing really, but as it has been said ‘It’s all about perception’. Honestly, that is why this tee is being reviewed. That one icon, one thought took something so simple and made it funny! You have to love that kind of stuff, life is too serious sometimes and the small things being viewed in such a way is a great thing!
