The Shiny Polish T-shirt design by rubyred takes the popular catchphrase “Shiny” from the beloved show Firefly and creates a mock polishing product using it as the name with an image of Serenity as a logo.

With the catchphrase “Shiny” and having to do with a spaceship theme, this design was inevitable.

First off, the white outline (aka stroke) makes the can stand out on any color fabric and that is a major plus. Black is particularly nice as it offers the most contrast. But brown is the choice for the true Browncoats.

Second, the details on the can are amazingly good. The scuffs and scratches on the can make it look like it has traveled the ‘verse in a toolbox and that it has been used quite often. That takes some master level illustration skills and it is a very nice touch.

The choice of using primary colors makes this design bold and eye catching.

This is a great subtle Firefly reference tee. It shows Serenity as the logo, and it has a reference to Mal’s standard issue war pistol (Liberty Hammer). One can picture Mal and Jayne polishing their weapons or Kaylee paying extra care to Serenity with this conceptual product.

It would be nice to see the blue and red reversed as variant. In order to give the spaceship a darker space-like  backdrop. There would be no chance of it being considered a “Blue Sun” since there is a yellow sun already behind Serenity.

This is a must have tee for any Browncoat.
