The Kaylee’s Aircraft Repair T shirt design by Bamboota features the Kaylee character from the canceled hit Science Fiction television series Firefly as an entrepreneur of her own Aircraft repair service. Kaylee is re-envisioned as a cartoon character holding her famous spiral umbrella as she sits on top of a mini Serenity.

Shiny! Everyone’s favorite mechanic is back. This time she is all cleaned up without a single smidgen of engine grease on her anywhere. Jewel Staite the actress who played Kaylee in the series would be proud of her likeness in this cute tee.

The design has more of a Warner Bros. style to it as opposed to a Disney one of which other designers prefer to use when making fan art and reference tees. Which is one of the main reasons that this one will stand out from the countless Firefly themed designs in the marketplace.

The layout is well balanced and the colors are vivid and complimentary. The font is a perfect alternative to the actual title font of the series. The way Crystal layered the elements adds depth and interest.

The only downside to this design is that the shading is a tiny bit inconsistent. No one will notice.  Other than that, this is a fun style and great concept. Overall, this is an excellent illustration. Firefly fans will like it for sure.
