Ever wonder what the anti-sticker-stick-family would look like? Something like this is a good run for the money for sure! A Family Once is an image of a family of zombies (Mom, Dad plus a little boy and his younger sister, teddy bear in tow) against a setting sun and a dead tree with crows awaiting a feast. The reflection is that happy family image of them as normal, and the tree in full bloom with birds flying around them without a care in the world. The image is fitting with former, normal, living family at the bottom as the reflection as that part of their lives is now dead and buried. At least in most zombie myths it is. (I do happen to know of at least one zombie movie in the making that there is a cure, like in Resident Evil, but with a second and disastrous result – I was seriously enjoying the webisodes and am frustrated that the big name production firm that picked it up hasn’t finished it yet).
The design is done quite well and all the colors are well contrasted, particularly the light blue of the shirt’s color and red sun featured in the background. Interestingly enough, the shadow is lighter in color than the beings that are somewhat-living in the design. Jay Fleck made a great design on Threadless that is sure to draw many in, especially as the Doomsday date in 2012 approaches.
Get plenty of these designs to wear that night and then the next morning. Better yet, do the prank that lots of folks did the last time a Doomsday approached and failed to deliever – take photos of your clothes as if you were wearing them and disappear. Oh wait, wrong scenario! Okay, so then wear this and make yourself and your family up to be a zombie the day after!
